The Boys has announced that Misha Collins is joining the show. Season 5 reunites Jared Padalecki and Collins after their fan-favorite turn on Supernatural. Showrunner Eric Kripke tweeted out a video of the stars doing the news. Online, fans of both shows are reacting to the reveal as the final season of The Boys is shaping up to be something special.
Prime Video has been dangling Padalecki’s return in front of viewers for the entire break between Season 4 and now. Collins joining in will bring a lot of eyeballs to the streamer who remember the old days of broadcast drama. Ackles saying “Hey Jared. We’ve got work to do…again,” is sure to trigger something inside you if you’re a Supernatural fan.

It was pretty clear that The Boys would be getting another season before the fourth installment even dropped. Prime Video has been able to hang its hat on steady praise from fans and critics alike over the show’s run. Kripke enjoys the level of narrative freedom he’s been able to gather with The Boys. Now the show is coming in for a landing. Fans expect the hype to be even higher than it’s been leading up to this point.
