Apple Original Films has landed plenty of great movies over the course of its short history, including Killers of the Flower Moon and the recent hit, The Gorge. The latest movie that Apple is circling is a new UFO-disclosure-themed movie from Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Zach Baylin wrote the script which is described as a UFO disclosure version of All the President’s Men.

Bids were made on the movie last week from the various studios and Deadline is reporting that Apple ended up winning the bid because of the strong relationship between Kosinski and the studio on their upcoming F1 movie. That movie stars Brad Pitt and comes out this June. It’s one of the most anticipated movies of 2025 so far.

A former whistleblower and U.S. Air Force intelligence officer, David Grusch, was a consultant on the project and will serve as an executive producer. He made waves in 2023 for his claims about the U.S. government’s involvement in unidentified aerial phenomena research.

They’re known as UAPs these days, but the formerly known as UFOs were a once crackpot theory that has gained traction amongst the public in recent years. Between the government releasing information and other sources letting the public know about programs within the Pentagon about UFOs, it’s become more mainstream.

We could be in for a UFO blockbuster-off between this film and Steven Spielberg’s latest project about UFOs.

We’ll keep you updated on this movie as we get more news about it.

So, what do you think of this new UFO film from Jerry Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinski?
