Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League doesn’t quite sound like a real movie, right? Seriously, just read back the title to yourself. It sounds more like the homemade workings of a middle schooler with dreams of writing and an imagination to match. And yet, it is an actual movie, and from Warner Bros. Japan to boot. In fact, it’s the sequel to Batman Ninja, which itself received rave reviews from critics when it came out in April 24, 2018. And honestly, when you look at the credits and see a long list of Japanese names like director Junpei Mizusaki and producer Takanari Yamaguchi make their apperances in both films, you start to realize that both films qualify as anime films. Even moreso when you see that studios like Kamikaze Douga, YamatoWorks, and Barnum Studio are responsible for the animation.

Thus, you can fully understand why Warner Bros. is so keen on bringing Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League to us. Especially when it’s coming to home video soon. How soon, you might ask? Well, let’s find out together, shall we?

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment is proud to announce that they will soon be bringing Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League to home video. All completely bypassing a theatrical release to boot. I guess for some bizarre reason, they don’t think it will do well in theaters? Oh well, at least we get to see this anime film in home theaters instead. And in both Japanese audio with English subtitles or English dub to boot.

Fortunately, it won’t be long before you can see it in your own home theater. Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League will be available for digital download on March 18, 2025. Not only that, but you can even download both this film and 2018’s Batman Ninja as a digital duology on that date too. You can do so from digital outlets like Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Vudu, and more.

Ah, but you might rather prefer the hard, physical copies instead? Well, don’t worry about that either. Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League will be available on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on April 15, 2025. You can purchase those physical copies on that date from major retailers both online and in-store.
