The story was written by the Ancient Greek Homer over 2000 years ago and is one of the oldest stories ever written. Here’s what Universal had to say about the film.
“Mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time.”
Nolan will produce the film alongside his partner Emma Thomas. The film will shoot on location in Sicily, which is where Odysseus actually goes in the story. The production begins this Spring on the Island of Favignana.
