Fear Street: Prom Queen images just gave Netflix fans a new taste of terror. Today, the streamer revealed a ton of the 2025 slate. Viewers had to expect there would be another Fear Street project after the positive reception of the previous trilogy.
In these latest stills, bad times are coming for Shadyside High School. But, can anybody really be surprised that’s the case? This summer, viewers should be prepared to revisit R.L. Stine’s world. Interestingly enough, the other Fear Street books aren’t adapted from a specific book. But, this time, we’re taking it back to 1992.
Netflix also dropped a fresh synopsis to sink your teeth into: “Fear Street Prom Queen takes us back to the town of Shadyside, Ohio, where prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ‘88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.”
Netflix Keeps Fear Street Rolling On
The Fear Street movies have proved to be nothing short of a hit for Netflix. Horror fans have praised the additions fo the R.L. Stine stories. Each release seemed to garner a bit more buzz than the last one. That’s why the scary times are going to continue rolling on the streamer.
Here’s some new details from Netflix: “A spring night… soft moonlight… five beautiful Prom Queen candidates… dancing couples at the Shadyside High prom — these should be the ingredients for romance. But stir in one brutal murder — then another, and another — and the recipe quickly turns to horror.
“Lizzie McVay realizes that someone is murdering the five Prom Queen candidates one by one — and that she may be next on the list! Can she stop the murderer before the dance is over — for good?”
If you want to catch up on the series before the new one kicks off, Netflix has the entire trilogy ready to stream right here.
