John Carpenter, the master of horror behind films like Halloween, The Thing, and Escape From New York is hitting the road for a concert run in Los Angeles this October. He’s signed up for four dates at the Belasco Theater on October 24th, 25th, 31st, and then on November 1st.

Presale for tickets to JOHN CARPENTER LIVE, his first-ever music residency, begins today for fans who have pre-registered, with tickets available to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, January 31. Tickets can be purchased at https://theofficialjohncarpenter.com/tour/. Carpenter has partnered with PLUS1 to provide $2 from each ticket to the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, which supports incarcerated firefighters; and to the Best Friends Animal Society, helping animals impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.

“I’ve been setting my nightmares, dreams and visions to music for a very long time, and there’s a lot to choose from,” said Carpenter, whose musical career has included composing scores for more than 20 films, along with five albums of Lost Themes. “That means every night of this event will offer something different and unexpected.”

This special concert event also features Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, and marks the first time John Carpenter has performed live since 2018.

Carpenter has been busy of late working on the score for the A24 film Death of a Unicorn and returning to the directing chair (from his couch) on John Carpenter’s Suburban Screams.
