Witch Watch is one of the most popular of Shonen Jump‘s manga for many, many reasons. Not least of which is because Kenta Shinohara of Sket Dance and Astra Lost in Space fame is the creator / mangaka behind this manga. Said mangaka has written quite a few heartwarming comedies in his manga, which continues to be the case for this one as well. As it turns out: a mix of Kiki’s Delivery Service-style antics and romantic comedy makes for a winning combo. The fact that this manga has over 1.1 million copies in circulation as of November 2022 should tell you how good it is. That’s not even going into how this manga was nominated for the seventh Next Manga Award, and ended up placing 10 out of 50th place in there.
All of which should tell you why Crunchyroll and Netflix are both so eager to hype up the upcoming anime adaptation of Witch Watch. Especially since they are the ones who will be streaming this anime. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out both of their official trailers for that upcoming anime below, and see for yourself if this fantasy romcom anime is the one for you?
Witch Watch: Official Trailer Details
Crunchyroll and Netflix are both proud to announce the upcoming anime adaptation of Witch Watch, both with official trailers on YouTube. Both trailers are identical, so you don’t gain or lose anything from watching just one or the other. Both trailers also tease the plot of the anime, which looks to be just as fun of a magical romcom (with emphasis on the “com” part) as the manga is. There will be drama and action though, so we will all have much to look forward to when this anime from Bibury Animation Studios (Magical Destroyers, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You) makes its debut.
When will that be, you might ask? Well, both trailers reveal that Witch Watch will make its debut sometime in April 2025. Again, you will be able to watch this anime on either Crunchyroll or Netflix when it starts airing. All due to this being the rare occasion of an anime being simulcast on multiple platforms.
Bonus: Synopsis
