Showtime’s wilderness survival thriller-slash-teen drama-slash-cannibalistic mystery Yellowjackets returns soon. After a lengthy hiatus following season 2, season 3 premieres on Valentine’s Day 2025. But what’s in store for these stranded soccer teens (and their surviving adult counterparts)?

Well, nothing good, probably. As Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) ominously puts it, “The only way to truly be safe is to be the only one left.”

Here’s the official synopsis of the new season from Showtime:

As summer arrives, the Yellowjackets face a fragile victory — the brutal winter that nearly claimed them is finally behind them, but distrust in leadership and tension within the team jeopardize their chances of being rescued. In the present, long-buried secrets from their pasts begin to surface. But as the women fight to keep their lives from unraveling, they must confront a chilling question: who are they really, and what dark truths are they hiding from each other and themselves?

The series stars Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher,  Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, and Simone Kessell. Elijah Wood also reprises his recurring role. Plus, Hilary Swank and Joel McHale join season 3 as guest stars.

Yellowjackets premieres with two episodes on Paramount+ with Showtime on February 14. The series will then premiere on linear cable on Showtime February 16 at 8pm EST/PST.
