The new season of the anthology adaptation of R.L. Stine’s beloved book series arrives this month. The story will bring in elements from books like Stay Out of the Basement, in addition to its own unique mystery. In season 2, a group of friends find themselves investigating the disappearance of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished decades ago.

We sat down with the supernatural sleuths taking on this mystery, including Elijah M. Cooper, Galilea La Salvia, and Stony Blyden, to talk all things Goosebumps. With their new experience confronting the paranormal, they also offer up some crucial advice for surviving in the Goosebumps world. Check out what they had to say in our full interview below.

In Goosebumps: The Vanishing, twins Cece and Devin Brewer are sent to spend a summer with their divorced dad. But a threat is stirring in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Emmy Award nominee David Schwimmer leads a brand-new cast as Anthony Brewer, a former botany professor who has immersed himself in science and mystery. The season also stars Ana Ortiz as police detective Jen; Jayden Bartels as Cece and Sam McCarthy as Devin; Elijah M. Cooper as CJ, Galilea La Salvia as Frankie, Francesca Noel as Alex, and Stony Blyden as Trey.

Goosebumps: The Vanishing premieres on Disney+ and Hulu January 10.
