Prime Video’s new series, “On Call” is ready to premiere on January 9th. In this new drama, we get a closer look at the people behind the badge. As well as a different perspective on the morality of what it means for the police to protect and serve their community.
A CHAT WITH THE STARS
With the release of “On Call” on Prime Video, we took part in a roundtable conversation with two of the leads of the series. These included actors Lori Loughlin & Eriq La Salle. Loughlin plays, Lieutenant Bishop, the battle-hardened leader of Long Beach Police Department’s West Division. La Salle plays a 22-year veteran of the force that clashes with some of the other officers.
During the discussion, they talked about their characters and how they were able to channel a veteran law enforcement officer. They also shared with us their experience in training for their roles with real police officers. It was a great conversation that you can check out below.
MORE ABOUT ON CALL
On Call is an adrenalized and visceral police drama. It follows a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Incorporating a mixture of bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.
The series stars Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) as officer “Traci Harmon.” A seasoned twelve year veteran and training officer with a strong moral compass that has defined her approach to policing. Even if that puts her at odds with new law enforcement policies. Brandon Larracuente (The Good Doctor) stars as “Alex Diaz.” An ambitious rookie who grapples with holding onto his optimistic outlook as he realizes the challenges he’ll face in today’s climate.
