From leading lady in front of the camera to leading lady behind it… actor Julia Stiles will officially make her directorial debut with a new romantic film, Wish You Were Here.
The feature adapts the bestselling novel by Renée Carlino. The story follows Charlotte, a woman whose perfect night with a perfect stranger ends suddenly. The next morning, Charlotte searches for answers and meaning in her disappointing life until she uncovers a secret that changes everything.

Some of Stiles’ best-known acting work is in romantic films, with her credits including 10 Things I Hate About You, Save the Last Dance, and The Prince and Me. Now, she takes the reins behind the scenes as director and co-writer alongside the book’s author Carlino.
Wish You Were Here stars Isabelle Fuhrman (The Novice, Orphan), Mena Massoud (Aladdin, The Royal Treatment), Jimmie Fails (The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Borderline), Gabby Kono-Abdy (Baker’s Dozen, Nighthawks), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) and Kelsey Grammer (Cheers, Fraiser).
