“LAID” on Peacock is what is being described as a messed-up (another word was used) modern-day rom-com in which a woman is forced to go back through her sex timeline. Why would anyone want to do this? In the case of Ruby played by Stephanie Hsu, its because her past lovers are all dying in a very specific order. Now its up to Ruby and her best friend AJ, played by Zosia Mamet to figure out why this is happening. All eight episodes of “LAID” will be released on Peacock December 19.
A CHAT WITH THE STARS
With the release of “LAID”, I spoke with the two lead stars Stephanie Hsu and Zosia Mamet. Hsu is also serving on the series as executive producer. In our conversation we talked about the premise of the show of looking back in order to move forward. Both Ruby and AJ are in very opposite places when it comes to relationships, so we talk about how that is explored. As well as how they work together as actresses to build that chemistry. It was a great chat that you can check out below!

ABOUT PEACOCK’S ‘LAID’
A woman finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward – “Laid” is a f*cked up rom-com where the answer to “why can’t I find love, is there something wrong with me?” is a resounding “Yes. There is. The problem is definitely you.”
