Universal Studios Hollywood kicked off their holiday festivities on November 29th, but they had a special event for press to take in all the different Grinchmas activities at the park. Universal Plaza is the home of Whoville this year and features a giant 65-foot-tall tree and of course, the Grinch. The landmark serves as a captivating point for the festivities that go on every night around sundown for the lighting of the tree by all the Whos. Grinchmas activities include photo ops with the Grinch, his faithful dog Max, Cindy-Lou Who, and other Whos throughout the holiday season.

There’s story time with Cindy-Lou Who, who shares the story of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas ”with guests young and old. A themed craft area will provide guests the chance to add holiday cheer to a paper ornament which they can hang on a nearby Grinchmas tree or take home as a holiday souvenir for their own Christmas tree. A selection of themed Who-tacular sweet treats and Grinchmas gear will also be available for purchase.

The sensational Who-inspired doo-wop singing quartet makes a grand return, bringing their legendary sounds and Who-liday cheer. With their infectious rhythms and lively performances, this fabulous quartet will sway Whos and guests alike as they croon to toe-tapping renditions of beloved Who-liday classics.

The Food And Drink Of Grinchmas

The spread of treats and drinks at Grinchmas.

If you’re heading to Whoville on an empty stomach, you’re in luck. They have plenty of returning and new food and drink options for holiday fans. They have items like a Grinch Donut, Whoville Present Cookie, 2 Sizes Too Small Cupcake, Wholicious Cinnamon Roll, Snowflake Gingerbread Cookie, Heart Grew 3 Sizes Sugar Cookie, Who Pudding, Gingerbread Whoopie Pie, Cocoa Cookie, and other food! The beverages include the Feliz Navidad, Winter Mojito, Abuela’s Regalo, and the non-alcoholic Grinch’s Heart Lemonade.

After trying a smattering of the treats, the best option was the Cocoa Cookie, which had hints of coffee, and cinnamon. The Gingerbread Whoopie Pie was a close second. If you’re into peppermint, the 3 Sizes Sugar Cookie had little bits of peppermint flecked on the back of it. Overall, it’s hard to go wrong with any of the choices at Grinchmas.

Whether you’re looking to have a chat with the Grinch or just enjoy some holiday cheer, Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the best options for you and your family this holiday season.
