“Based on a True Story” returns to Peacock for a second season Thursday, November 21st. We now find Ava and Nathan played by Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, dealing with not only a murderer, but also their baby. Just like the first season things go off the rails as new murders start popping up, and Tory and Matt may be a thing.
CATCHING UP WITH LIANA LIBERATO
With the release of the second season of “Based on a True Story,” I spoke with Liana Liberato. She is one of the stars of the series and plays Tory. She is Ava’s sister who lives with her and Nathan but may now be having a love connection with the supposed former Westside Ripper, Matt, played by Tom Bateman.
During our conversation we talked about getting a second season to expand Tory’s character and playing in that world with both Cuoco and Messina. Liberato also tells us about her arc with Matt and teases what we can expect. It was a fun conversation that you can check out below!
ABOUT SEASON 2 OF “BASED ON A TRUE STORY”
Season two finds new parents, Ava and Nathan Bartlett, who are three months into parenthood. Focused on taking care of her family, Ava is determined to resist her true crime obsession and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan trains private tennis clients. But a series of new murders pulls her back in – is Matt behind the slayings? Is Tory, now entangled in a relationship with Matt, in danger? For a while, life is good — Ava’s TikTok habit and her new friend Drew provide a welcome distraction, and Nathan’s all in on reigniting his tennis career as well as his friendship with Matt — until danger comes knocking, literally.
“Based on a True Story” Season 2 kicks off Thursday, November 21st exclusively on Peacock.
