“Starship Troopers: Continuum” is a new Sony Pictures Virtual Reality experience that will put you right into the action of the 1997 cult classic “Starship Troopers”. As you kill all kinds of bugs for the Federation you will be joined by a familiar character along the way, Johnny Rico, voiced by Casper Van Dien, who is reprising his role from the franchise. “Starship Troopers: Continuum” is now available on Meta Quest and will debut on PlayStation VR2 on November 25th.
A CHAT WITH JOHNNY RICO
With the release of “Starship Troopers: Continuum”, I spoke with Casper Van Dien about the game and the Starship Troopers franchise. Van Dien talks about what it means to continue to bring life to Johnny Rico and thus the franchise now through video games. He talks about his experience in playing the game and how excited he has been to play with fans. Who would have thought you could kill bugs with Johnny Rico himself?
Along with the video games we talk about the 1997 movie. Specifically, why he thought it was there was pushback when it was first released, only to then become a cult classic for many people. It was a fun conversation that you can check out below!
