You can take the bear out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of the bear. Everyone’s favorite marmalade-loving bear returns for a new on-screen adventure in Paddington in Peru.
Sony Pictures released a new trailer for the third Paddington feature today. The trailer includes new footage from the film, teasing the hijinks ahead for Paddington and his family as they venture into the depths of Peru on a special mission. Check out the new trailer below.
Here’s the official film synopsis from Sony:
Full of Paddington’s signature blend of wit, charm, and laugh-out-loud humor, Paddington in Peru finds the beloved, marmalade-loving bear on an exciting, high-stakes adventure. When Paddington discovers his beloved Aunt Lucy has gone missing from the Home for Retired Bears, he and the Brown family head to the wilds of Peru to look for her. But the only clue to her whereabouts is a spot marked on an enigmatic map. Determined to solve the mystery, Paddington embarks on a thrilling quest through the rainforests of the Amazon to find his aunt…and may also uncover one of the world’s most legendary treasures.
Ben Whishaw returns as the voice of Paddington. The film also stars Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton, Carla Tous, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Olivia Colman, and Antonio Banderas.
The new film comes from previous installment collaborators Paul King, Simon Farnaby and Mark Burton. Dougal Wilson will make his feature directorial debut with the movie.
Paddington in Peru will debut in US theaters January 17, 2025. Until then, check back to THS for more updates.
