When Paddington made its theatrical debut on November 28, 2014 in its home nation of the UK, it was a hit with critics and audiences alike. On Rotten Tomatoes alone, critics have given this hybrid live-action and animated comedy film an astonishing 97% over 162 reviews. Audiences on Rotten Tomatoes aren’t too far behind with a 80% over 50,000+ ratings. Thus, you can imagine just why it is this film from director Paul King is just so renowed. You can also understand why that film spawned a sequel called Paddington 2 back in November 5, 2017, and to similar acclaim as well. In fact the sequel earned a 99% acclaim rate from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, making it do even better than the original film.
