Ultraman Arc is the current season of the Ultraman series from Tsuburaya Productions, making its debut in its home nation of Japan on July 6, 2024. You can tell that this science fiction tokusatsu and kaiju series has been going on for a while. How can we tell, you might ask? Well, this current season is the franchise’s 36th. In fact, this season is to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Ultraman Zero and the 10th anniversary of the New Generation Heroes series. That’s how you can tell that this franchise has gone on for a while. It’s also how you can tell that it has a very long future in store for it.
However, every good show needs some good opening and ending music for it. Fortunately, ARCANA PROJECT delivered for this show when they sang “Mera Mera” for Ultraman Arc as its first ending theme song. In fact, they did such a good job with that ending theme song that they’re now going to sing the second ending theme song. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out the official music video for “Michikake” below, and see if it’s the Ultraman song for you?
“Michikake” by ARCANA PROJECT: Details
Japanese vocal group ARCANA PROJECT is proud to present the second ending theme song for Ultraman Arc: “Michikake” via an official music video on YouTube. This ending theme song will make its debut starting from Ep. 14 of this Ultraman series. In fact, ARCANA PROJECT themselves have a few words to say about their new song. You can check out their comment below:
We are thrilled to once again perform the ending theme for the latter part of Ultraman Arc. The song “Michikake” is themed around the moon, the counterpart to the sun. It conveys the idea that the moon changes how it shines when illuminated by the blazing sun, supporting the sun (you), while waxing and waning. When you hear the lyrics “Atarimae ja nai ima ga aru” (The present shouldn’t be taken for granted), we hope it encourages you to cherish the people around you even more. We will continue to enliven the latter part of the Ultraman Arc series through our music!
The CD version of “Michikake” will release on December 25, 2024. The Limited Edition with Soft Vinyl Figure version of that CD will include a figure of the Ultraman Arc Galaxy Armor Zanki Ryuseiken Color version. It’s certainly quite the tantalizing bonus to get that CD, wouldn’t you say?
