Watchmen by writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins is perhaps one of the most famous comic books in history. It’s no wonder too if you know anything about it. This very dark and even more morally ambiguous superhero tale has earned the praise of many a critic and audience alike. Which by the way, also ensured its commercial success. It certainly didn’t sell over a million copies for nothing.

In fact, the success of the comics spurred numerous film, video game, and TV adaptations. This included the adult animated superhero film Watchmen Chapter I back on August 13, 2024. A film that promises to be much more faithful to the original comic book than previous animated adaptations. Which hopefully means that the upcoming Watchmen Chapter II will be just as faithful when we finally see it on home video. Fortunately, this does appear to be the case based on the IGN trailer that just dropped on YouTube. Don’t believe me? Watchmen Chapter II: Home Video Details

With comic book-like animation to boot.

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment is proud to announce that they will be bringing Watchmen Chapter II to home video. You know, just as they did with Watchmen Chapter I, which also featured Brandon Vietti as the director and J. Michael Straczynski as the writer? Anyways, this home video release will be in two stages.

The first stage will see Watchmen Chapter II being released on November 26, 2024. However, this will be an exclusively digital release. Thus, you will only be able to purchase this version from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home, and more.

The next stage will take place on December 3, 2024. This will be when this sequel film will finally see a proper physical release on 4K UHD and Blu-ray. You can purchase these physical versions from online retailers or in-store at major retailers on that date.
