“The Devil’s Climb” is getting ready to debut on October 17 on National Geographic. In this documentary special, we follow Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell, two very well-known and documented rock climbers. In the film, they attempt to summit the infamous Devil’s Thumb in Alaska for the first time. See parts of the world only possible thanks to the bravery of these two climbers.

With the release of “The Devil’s Climb”, I spoke with both Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell. In our conversation, we talk about both of their perspectives on the journey. As well as their distinct ways of prepping for the climb as Tommy was recovering from a scary injury.

We also talk about some of the logistics of the documentary. Saying the crew took a lot of risk in making sure they were able to capture some incredible footage. Not to mention not knowing how much of the climb they would be able to make. It’s a fantastic conversation that you can check out below!
