Once again, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was the number one movie at the box office despite competition from Speak No Evil And The Killer’s Game.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Wins At The Box Office

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

As per Box Office Mojo, once again Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was the number one movie at the box office. The movie now is the movie with the most as it has $188 million at the domestic (North America) box office and $264 million globally. The $76 million in international markets shows a sign that the movie isn’t resonating with international audiences nearly as much as it is with domestic audiences.

As for the newcomer Speak No Evil. I predicted it to make $12 million to $15 million but it only made $11.5 million. Despite an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes and a B+ CinemaScore, the movie just didn’t seem to land with audiences. As I mentioned in my predictions; James Mcavoy doesn’t quite have the box office pull as other actors.

Deadpool & Wolverine dropped from second to third with $5.2 million. Am I Racist? was fourth. Reagan dropped from third to fifth at the box office.

The Killer’s Game was the only other new release at the box office and the movie made $2.6 million in sixth place. It made even less than some other Lionsgate releases this year including the flop, The Crow. While the movie has a B+ CinemaScore, the movie got poor reviews from critics and stands at 36% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Next Weekend’s Predictions

The big releases at the box office next week are Transformers One and Never Let Go.

Transformers One is tracking for a $40 million to $50 million opening. This will likely place it in first if Beetlejuice Beetlejuice drops another 50%. Since there’s enough of a crossover in the 25-54 age range between the two; I think it’s likely that this will happen. Never Let Go is tracking for $5 million to $10 million. It’ll likely place somewhere in the middle, around $8 million; and place third.
