The new adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot from New Line Cinema is FINALLY coming out. The film has been on the shelf for nearly two years, and it’s finally releasing on Max this October. The trailer above shows off some of the action and terror from the film. It comes from the producing teams behind The Conjuring and IT. Gary Dauberman writes, directs, and executive produces the film. James Wan and Michael Clear produce for Atomic Monster. Here’s the logline from New Line Cinema.

Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.

Salem’s Lot stars Lewis Pullman (Ben Mears), Alfre Woodard (Dr. Cody), Makenzie Leigh (Susan Norton), Bill Camp (Matthew Burke), Spencer Treat Clark (Mike Ryerson), Pilou Asbæk (Straker), and John Benjamin Hickey (Father Callahan).

Salem’s Lot streams exclusively on Max on October 3rd.
