The first season of Arcane made headlines when it first made its debut on Netflix all the way back on November 6, 2021. Mostly because of all the positive reception it got back then. Critics and audiences alike raved about how good it was. Seriously, Rotten Tomatoes reported a 100% approval rating from critics over 29 reviews, with audiences still giving it 96% over 5000+ ratings. This animated series even became the first streaming series to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, and even an Annie Award for Best General Audience Animated Television Broadcast Production on top of that. No matter how you look at it, showrunners Christian Linke and Alex Yee have a hit on their hands.

And now we cut to the present day, nearly three years later. Three years since that very first season. Quite a long wait for a second season, isn’t it? Well, fortunately, it looks like that wait is going to come to an end. Don’t believe me? Netflix is proud to announce/tease Arcane season 2 with that official trailer above on YouTube. The first ever such trailer to boot. There is pain, there is action, but there’s also pain, pain, and more pain. Did I mention the pain? Not just physical, but emotional and mental pain too. It looks amazing, but so painful. This is going to hurt.

Fortunately, we know exactly when we’re going to feel the amazement and pain. In the video description, Netflix reveals that Arcane season 2 will make its debut sometime in November 2024. As you might expect, you can watch it only on Netflix along with the first season.
