AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe got a little bigger today. The network revealed the lead in the upcoming series, The Talamasca. The third show in the expanded supernatural universe will star Nicholas Denton.

Denton will play Guy Anatole. Described as brilliant and handsome, Guy has always known his mind works a little differently. On the cusp of graduating law school, he is approached by a representative of the Talamasca, a secretive agency that monitors and protects us from the supernatural world. But when Guy learns that the Talamasca has been tracking him since his childhood, he falls headlong into a world of secret agents and immortal beings who, up to now, have maintained a fragile balance with the mortal world. For that balance to hold – and for Guy to survive – he will have to learn to embrace the dark, treacherous depths of his true and singular self.

The series marks the third developed by AMC based Rice’s novels, following Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches. The Talamasca follows a secret society responsible for tracking and containing witches, vampires, werewolves and other creatures around the globe. Members of the Talamasca have been previously introduced in both Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire.

Anne Rice’s The Talamasca comes from Oscar-nominated executive producer John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty. The pair serve as co-showrunners. Mark Johnson, who oversees the entire Anne Rice Immortal Universe for AMC, also produces.

Denton’s previous credits include Glitch, Utopia, and Dangerous Liaisons.

The Talamasca begins production next month in Manchester, England. The six-episode season will premiere in 2025 on AMC and AMC+.

You can stream the other series in Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe on AMC+ now. Interview with the Vampire recently wrapped up its critically acclaimed second season. The sophomore season of Mayfair Witches will arrive in early 2025.
