Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is the sequel no one expected to see happen. After all, would you have expected Wizards of Waverly Place to get a sequel? And yet, when you think about it in hindsight, it may not actually be all that surprising. After all, critics and audiences alike have universally given that show positive reviews for the actors and their comedic skills. It’s really no wonder why that live-action Disney series is as popular as it is. The fact that this series is maintaining that popularity even 12 years after it ended its run (at 106 episodes over four seasons, no less) is proof of that popularity.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place: Details
Disney is proud to announce the premiere date for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. According to them, it will make its debut on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. EDT with two episode. Specifically, that debut date will happen on Disney Channel. It will only be the day after that on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 that Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand will make the first eight episodes available. Considering that it’s not out yet, you can check out the original Wizards of Waverly Place only on Disney+.
Bonus: Casting and Synopsis
That’s not all, folks! Disney is also revealing that Raven-SymonĂ© (Raven’s Home) and Danielle Fishel (Girl Meets World) will direct episodes in season 1. That is, on top of the cast to feature David Henrie (as Justin Russo), Janice LeAnn Brown (as Billie), Alkaio Thiele (as Roman Russo), Max Matenko (as Milo Russo), Taylor Cora (as Winter) and Mimi Gianopulos (as Giada Russo). Selena Gomez (as Alex Russo) will guest star in the first episode.
Not only that, but Disney even has the official synopsis for this sequel/spinoff series as a teaser for the story. You can check out that synopsis below:
