You can’t have a satisfying spooky season without some vampires (or some Stephen King). But Max has you covered – Salem’s Lot will officially hit the streaming platform in October.
The new film adapts King’s bestselling 1975 novel of the same name. The story follows Ben Mears, an author who returns to his childhood home in search of inspiration for his next book. Unfortunately, he soon discovers the town of Jerusalem’s Lot is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.
New Line Cinema adapts Salem’s Lot, which reunites the producing teams behind huge horror franchises The Conjuring and It. Gary Dauberman writes, directs, and executive produces the film. James Wan and Michael Clear produce for Atomic Monster, with Roy Lee producing for Vertigo.
Salem’s Lot stars Lewis Pullman (Ben Mears), Alfre Woodard (Dr. Cody), Makenzie Leigh (Susan Norton), Bill Camp (Matthew Burke), Spencer Treat Clark (Mike Ryerson), Pilou Asbæk (Straker), and John Benjamin Hickey (Father Callahan).
Max also revealed some first-look images from the film. Check them out below.
