Think you’ve got what it takes to go undercover? Then get ready for a new comedy series, A Man on the Inside.
The Netflix sitcom stars Ted Danson as a retired man who gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a PI and becomes a mole in a secret investigation.
The series comes from creator Mike Schur. Schur has spearheaded some of the most popular comedies of the last few decades, including The Good Place, Parks & Recreation, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. In fact, Schur recruited quite a few actors from his previous shows to join Man on the Inside. Schur comedy fans will spot Stephanie Beatriz, Marc Evan Jackson, Eugene Cordero, and Jama Williamson among the cast. Danson also previously played one of the ensemble leads in The Good Place.
Additional series stars include Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephen Mckinley Henderson, Sally Struthers, Margaret Avery, John Getz, Susan Ruttan, Lori Tan Chinn, and Clyde Kusatsu. Learn more about the cast and their characters here.
A Man on the Inside (formerly known as A Classic Spy) draws inspiration from the documentary The Mole Agent, nominated at the 2021 Oscars for Best Documentary Feature.
Season 1 of the comedy series will include eight 30-minute episodes. A Man on the Inside premieres this November on Netflix. Stay tuned to THS for more updates on the series, including a more specific release date.
