Name a movie with a better marketing push than Longlegs. The movie from NEON has officially passed $100 million at the box office and its still climbing. The film hits digital marketplaces on August 23rd. It’ll be available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD with bonus features like behind-the-scenes content starting on September 24th.
Longlegs stars Nicolas Cage, Maika Monroe, Blair Underwood, and Alicia Witt. It was written and directed by Osgood Perkins. The film tells the story of Lee Harker (played by Monroe), an FBI agent with a gift of foresight who’s assigned to the complex case of the serial killer Longlegs (Nicolas Cage). The case takes complex turns, including involvements with the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and has to race to stop him.
It’s a cerebral and terrifying film that is one of the best of the year in the horror genre.

You’ll feel unnerved long after watching Longlegs. It’s not the type of horror that’ll just pop out of a window at you, making your heart rate spike for a short time. It’s the type of movie that sticks with you, hiding in the back of your brain until its reactivated. Nicolas Cage is utterly terrifying in this film. Maika Monroe channels her best inner Scully/Clarice Starling, but adds a youthful energy to the normal archetypal FBI agent.
Longlegs is a truly special horror movie that is sure to stick with you long after you watch it.
