Senpai is an Otokonoko Ep. 6 “I’ve Got to Decide”: The Good
There’s no doubt about it. It’s the story of Senpai is an Otokonoko Ep. 6 “I’ve Got to Decide” that keeps my eyes glued to the screen. Mostly because it’s a nice, fluffy, and adorable romcom with a LGBTQ+ twist, the way Pom wrote it in the original manga. However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows even in this episode. There’s still a fair amount of drama in this episode, both in the background and in the foreground. Mostly centered around Ryuji and his feelings for Makoto. The fact that the story of this episode left off on a cliffhanger leaves me both gnashing my teeth and eager for more next week. It’s actually quite the pleasant reward for the wait, since we had to wait an extra week for this episode to come out.
Complementing that story is the animation. Project No.9 continue to do a marvelous job with that animation quality. Even in the simplified chibi animation, it still comes off as being pretty crisp and clear. With that same chibi animation doing well to emphasize the light-hearted portions of the story. Overall, this episode is definitely worth the two week wait.
Senpai is an Otokonoko Ep. 6 “I’ve Got to Decide”: The Bad
Alas, if you’re an action junkie, then Senpai is an Otokonoko Ep. 6 “I’ve Got to Decide” isn’t for you. This entire episode is either hilarious hijinks or romantic drama. Not a hint of action in it anywhere. If you want action, then may I suggest Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Solo Leveling, Kaiju No. 8, and/or The Elusive Samurai? Those should have more than enough action to satisfy any junkie.
