Pantera reunited with Phil Anselmo, Rex Brown, Zack Wylde, and Charlie Benante last year in tribute to the fallen members of the band. The ensuing shows have been wildly successful with the band opening for Metallica on their M72 World Tour in North America. Now, they’re hitting the road for a tour of their own, and they went to a small club, the First Avenue in Minnesota for a show. They brought along some friends, including Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo from Metallica. They ripped through some classic Pantera songs and some deep cuts as well.

Seeing a band in a venue like First Avenue, which doesn’t hold much more than 1600 people is pretty insane. To see them jam out with the members of Metallica is an even more special experience. Here’s a video of Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett joining them on stage for “Walk”.

Metallica took the M72 World Tour all around the world, we’ll have to see if they add any new dates to it. They did an interesting format for the tour, where they’d play two dates in the same city over a weekend, but not repeat any songs between the two shows. Each concert was a different experience, with different openers, and different tracks from the history of Metallica.
