Oh, the highs and lows of fatherhood. In the upcoming film Goodrich, Michael Keaton plays a father suddenly facing both new and old challenges: raising nine-year-old twins alone when his wife enters a rehab program, while reconnecting with his adult daughter (Mila Kunis) from his first marriage.

To launch the film, Keaton debuted the official trailer on social media… with a little coaching from Kunis on how to navigate Instagram. Watch the pair make the trailer live over a video call in the clip below.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Andy Goodrich’s (Michael Keaton) life is upended when his wife and mother of their nine-year-old twins enters a 90-day rehab program, leaving him on his own with their young kids. Thrust into the world of modern parenthood, Goodrich leans on his daughter from his first marriage, Grace (Mila Kunis), as he ultimately evolves into the father Grace never had.

Keaton and Kunis both executive produce the feature, along with Amy Pascal. Goodrich comes from writer/director Hallie Meyers-Shyer (Home Again). The cast also includes Carmen Ejogo, Michael Urie, Kevin Pollak, Viven Lyra Blair, Nico Haraga, and Danny Deferrari, with Lauren Benanti and Andie MacDowell.

You can watch the trailer for the film over on Keaton’s Instagram, or check it out below.

Goodrich premieres in theaters October 18. Until then, check back to THS for more updates.
