The Lady in Silver has arrived. It appears Yerin Ha will join season 4 of Bridgerton as the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton.
Variety first reported the casting of Ha as Sophie Beckett. In Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton novels, Sophie is the illegitimate daughter of an earl and one of his maids; she was brought up in the earl’s house, but not publicly acknowledged as his daughter.
Season 4 of Netflix’s adaptation of the period romance will follow the second Bridgerton son, Benedict (Luke Thompson). As the logline reads, “Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.” The season will focus on the events in the third novel in the series, “An Offer From a Gentleman.”
Ha recently appeared in the Paramount+ series adaptation of the Halo video game franchise. She is also set to appear in the upcoming Dune prequel series on Max, Dune: Prophecy.
Regency romance Bridgerton remains one of Netflix’s top titles. Each of the three previous seasons rank among the streamer’s 10 most-watched English language TV shows on the platform.
Season 4 will feature eight episodes. However, we don’t have a release window for the new season just yet. We also don’t know if Netflix will release all episodes at once, or split the season into a two-parter, as it did with season 3.
So, for now Bridgerton fans will just have to be content to put a face to Benedict’s Lady in Silver. For more updates, check back to THS.
