Anime Expo Cinema Nights (aka. AX Cinema Nights) has been the source of a lot of classic anime films hitting NA theaters. Well, hitting theaters once more. A lot of these classics first hit theaters in Japan in the ’90s and early 2000’s. Alas, it would be years after that initial theatrical debut before NA audiences would see them. All thanks to anime as a genre being the most niche of niche genres to the West at the time.
Thankfully, attitudes have changed since those days of old. Anime is now very firmly mainstream here in NA region, or well on its way to becoming mainstream. With the result being things like AX Cinema Nights and its accompanying slates of ye olde anime films. Now though, we have ourselves a new slate incoming for anime fans. Let’s find out what new anime films are inbound there, shall we?
