Here’s what Alan Scott Neal had to say about the script and the idea for Last Straw.
When I first read the script, I was enthralled by the idea that I’d be able to explore both sides ofa crime. Nancy’s struggles, and her frustration with what is‘traditionally’expected of her, juxtaposed with her assailants’own fears and anxieties truly excited me. This was a chance tocreate dual perspectives and flip the audience on its head nearly as much as we do thecharacter, Nancy, herself.
