ABOUT #AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead
The film takes the classic slasher horror film and blends it with the beloved Saw-type of horror with a sprinkle of modern teenage drama. It has twists and turns that will keep you guessing who is behind the gruesome murders that are taking place. No one is safe from the killer.
#AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead follows a college group of friends that rent an Airbnb as they travel to one of the biggest music festivals of the year. But a weekend of partying takes a terrifying turn as the group of teens are murdered one by one, according to their sin.
A CHAT WITH MARCUS DUNSTAN
With the release of #AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead, I spoke with director Marcus Dunstan. While we got distracted geeking out about other horror films, we learned more about his work on this slasher. He shares with us his approach to a film like this where each of the teens is identified by a specific personality leading to an “appropriate” and brutal kill. We talk about the art of deception and how to create an effective twist in a film. Dunstan shares with is what makes the star of the film, Jade Pettyjohn, great for the role. No conversation would be complete without talking about the use of practical effects in horror. Especially in scenes when guts are getting thrown around. It was a great conversation that you can check out below!
