The upcoming Borderlands film adaptation is one of the most hotly anticipated video game films in the world right now. Not least of which is because of the immense success of the video game franchise it’s based on. It’s pretty clear from all the hype building around it that a lot of people want to see it. This includes members of the press. Thus, it makes sense why said press would be so excited to meet the cast of that upcoming film at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 (SDCC 2024).

However, it seems that cast want to do a bit more than just meet the press. It seems that they want to have a bit of fun with that meet-and-greet, in true Borderlands fashion. Don’t believe me? Then why not watch the results below, and see for yourself just how far are the cast and crew willing to prank that press?

Borderlands: Press Prank Details

Well, I’ll bet no one was expecting that.

At SDCC 2024, the cast of Borderlands (consisting of Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Edgar Ramírez, Florian Munteanu, and Eli Roth) played a little prank on the press at their panel there, which they then uploaded to YouTube. Said prank basically involved the cast having hidden earbuds, and then receiving the most bizarre instructions from the rest of the cast on what to say to the press. Clearly, this was not something they practiced beforehand. You can see just how hard the cast were trying not to laugh throughout the video. Not only that, but despite the bizarrely rude things the cast were saying, it looks like the press were having fun too. All because of the power of comedy. This is clearly the level of immature humor we can expect to look forward to. It’s certainly something.

Fortunately, we won’t have long to wait to see if the film has the same level of comedy. Borderlands will make its theatrical debut on August 9, 2024. You can in fact purchase tickets right now on the official website.
