Would you jump on an all-expenses-paid dream vacation to a private island? Or do you have the sort of suspicious mind that asks, “What’s the catch?” In Blink Twice, a too-good-to-be-true vacation turns out to be just that.

Here’s the official synopsis for Blink Twice:

When tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) meets cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) at his fundraising gala, sparks fly. He invites her to join him and his friends on a dream vacation on his private island. It’s paradise. Wild nights blend into sun soaked days and everyone’s having a great time. No one wants this trip to end, but as strange things start to happen, Frida begins to question her reality. There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.

The film marks the feature directorial debut of Zoë Kravitz. Kravitz also co-wrote the film with  E.T. Feigenbaum. The pair previously worked together on the Hulu series High Fidelity.

Blink Twice stars Naomi Ackie, Channing Tatum, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Kyle MacLachlan, and Haley Joel Osment, with Geena Davis and Alia Shawkat.

The film premieres in theaters August 23.
