PRIME VIDEO ORDERS VOUGHT RISING, A PREQUEL TO HIT SUPERHERO SERIES THE BOYS
Today, during the Emmy-winning series The Boys’ Hall H San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was announced that The Boys world is expanding to include Vought Rising, a prequel to The Boys, starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. The exciting news was revealed when Ackles surprised the SDCC audience by coming on stage and tossing to a video from Cash. Past spinoffs from the world of The Boys include Gen V and The Boys Presents: Diabolical, both streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
“We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys. It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V,” said executive producer Eric Kripke and series showrunner and executive producer Paul Grellong.
Vought Rising will star Aya Cash and Jensen Ackles, who will also serve as producers. Paul Grellong will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers on the series. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
