Daphne and Simon. Anthony and Kate. Colin and Penelope. And now, we know which Bridgerton sibling will find love next. Season 4 of Netflix’s romantic period drama will let Benedict Bridgerton step into the spotlight.
Netflix revealed the news in a special announcement video, which you can watch below.
Here’s a quick summary of season 4:
The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.
Series showrunner Jess Brownell told Tudum she’s excited to tell Benedict’s story after watching him grow in the last three seasons. “It felt important for him to explore the fullness of himself before he settles down,” Brownell said. “He is someone who has big appetites, and we wanted to see him living a big life before he goes into settle-down mode.”
Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict, added, “Benedict has always been a little lost — or free depending on the way you want to look at it. But now he’s trying to find something a bit more solid in himself.”
Season 4 of Bridgerton will include eight episodes. No word yet on a release date, or confirmation on if the season will debut all at once or split into two installments like season 3.
