The HCA (Hollywood Creative Alliance) has announced the 2024 Astra Midseason Movie Award winners. All the nominated films were released between January 1st, 2024 and June 30th, 2024.

The leader in nominations was Dune: Part Two, taking home three wins for Best Picture, Best Director for Denis Villeneuve, and Best Supporting Actor for Austin Butler.

Dune: Part 2

Challengers and Love Lies Bleeding both took two wins each. Zendaya won Best Actress and Justin Kurtizkes won Best Screenplay for the tennis drama. Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding won Best Indie Film and Best Supporting Actress for Katy O’Brian.

While not a completed predictive measure of the other awards shows out there, this is a great gauge on what people could be talking about when those big awards shows roll around early next year.
