Netflix’s upcoming limited series Sirens just added two big names to its cast. Both Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton will appear in the series.

Bacon and Howerton join previously announced Sirens cast members Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock. The dark comedy series comes from Emmy-nominated writer and showrunner Molly Smith Metzler (Maid). Margot Robbie executive produces under her LuckyChap banner, along with Dani Gorin and Tom Ackerley.

Described as “an incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class,” Sirens follows sisters Simone (Alcock) and Devon (Fahy). Devon thinks Simone has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Moore). Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. The limited series is told over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish beach estate.

Bacon joins the cast as Peter Kell. Peter comes from an old money family, making him the highest-status person in every room he enters. He’s an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the occasional joint. 

Howerton plays Ethan Corbin II, a dear friend of the Kells and lifelong bachelor who lives next door. He’s a regular at the yacht club, though he’s rapidly burning through his trust fund. 

Bacon will next appear in the Netflix project Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F and the horror flick MaXXXine, both releasing this Independence Day weekend. Howerton is best known for his work on the long-running sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Sirens marks the first series out of Metzler’s new creative partnership with Netflix, launched after her work on Maid.
