Though Dr. Frasier Crane has a new life in Boston, that hasn’t stopped him from staying connected to his past. He flew back to Beantown to get reacquainted with his adult son Freddy. In his new career as a teacher, he works alongside his old classmate and friend Dr. Alan Cornwall. And over the course of the sequel series’ first season, familiar faces such as Bebe Neuwirth and Peri Gilpin have returned to reprise their beloved roles as Dr. Lilith Sternin and Roz Doyle. But now yet another powerful woman from the good doctor’s past is about to resurface, potentially from the depths of hell.

According to Variety, Harriet Sansom Harris is set to appear in the second season of Frasier as the titular pop culture personality’s agent Bebe Glazer. Described as “delightfully devilish,” Bebe has appeared in every season of the show except seasons six and eight. In her 11 appearances, she was a part of some of the most memorable moments of the entire series. Bebe even encouraged Frasier’s foray into television, a career path that expanded during his time in Chicago.

Since her time on the original series, Harris has appeared in several acclaimed projects such as Hacks, Licorice Pizza, and the Marvel Studios Special Presentation Werewolf By Night. Unfortunately, there’s no word on what will bring Harris’ character across the country to reunite with her long-time client. However, we do know that she won’t be coming alone.

In Full Bloom

Harriet Sansom Harris as Bebe Glazer in Frasier

Frasier has always been a family affair. Not only did we get to know the Crane family throughout the original series, the audience also welcomed Roz’s baby Alice (who we’ll see again all grown up) and the cadre of Moons that visited Seattle from across the pond. But when Bebe returns for the revival, she’ll have her daughter in tow as well. And the younger Glazer will be portrayed by an award-winning multi-hyphenate performer.

The Paramount+ streaming series is bringing in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” creator and star Rachel Bloom to play Phoebe Glazer. The report says that the new character has “inherited her mother’s indomitable charm” and “boasts a magnetic personality.” Phoebe also has a “taste for the finer things,” which could manifest in a number of ways. Maybe she dabbles in the fine art industry. Or, like her mother, she may be looking for a wealthy but elderly husband in order to marry into an inheritance. Either way, Bloom is ecstatic about this casting since she has been a long-time fan of Frasier.

Harris and Bloom are the latest in an incredible line-up of guest stars for season two. Amy Sedaris, Patricia Heaton, and Yvette Nicole Brown have all signed on to play brand new characters to the Cheers-verse. And like the returning Bebe, fellow original series alumni Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert will reprise their roles as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe and Gil Chesterton.

With shooting still in progress on the new season, there’s still a possibility to see other incredible guest stars join Kelsey Grammer and company in the upcoming season of Frasier. Stay tuned to That Hashtag Show as we report the latest news on the beloved sitcom and more.
