I loved That 90s Show Part 1. As a huge fan of That 70s Show the new series brought me back to a world that I missed and loved led by my favorite characters, Kitty and Red. However this time, instead of the two having to wrangle their children we’re introduced to Eric and Donna’s daughter Leia as she spends holidays and summer vacation with her grandparents. The nostalgic journey continues with a fresh twist, offering a delightful blend of familiarity and new adventures.

Part 2 picks up a couple of weeks after Part 1. We’re no longer handing out during Spring Break. Instead, it’s now Summer Vacation. Donna (Laura Prepon) has brought Leia to spend the summer with her new friends and grandparents. This also means we have a quick turnaround to resolve the cliffhanger of last season. The almost kiss between Leia and Nate. Why is this an issue? They’re both dating other people!

I appreciate that That 90s Show Part 2 resolves this issue quickly without destroying the friend group. This way we can delve into summer vacation shenanigans and the comedic drama that ensues. This season, the kids tackle driving lessons, pregnancy scares, breakups, and a myriad of other relatable teenage experiences. I appreciate that this series, much like its predecessor, fearlessly addresses teenage issues without sugarcoating them.

I also appreciate the balance in That 90s Show where the teens navigate life while the adults, like Kitty and Red, aren’t left behind. Witnessing them as empty nesters with young teenagers back in the house adds a refreshing dynamic. I enjoy watching their love continue to grow with each other and Red even gets a little softer. This season also treats us to exciting new cameos, featuring both familiar and fresh faces.

Make sure to watch Part 2 of That 90s Show now streaming on Netflix!
