Beck Bennett Joins James Gunn’s Superman
DC Studios’ Superman is about to get a bit funnier. The comedic actor Beck Bennett is joining the cast of James Gunn’s Superman. The film is currently in production in the Atlanta area. It stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. It also includes Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Wendell PIerce, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, and Maria Gabriela de Faria.
The Hollywood Reporter was first with the news, and they’re reporting that Bennett will play a Daily Planet reporter in the film.
Superman comes at a pivotal time for the newly formed DC Studios at Warner Bros. Discovery. It’s the first film in a multi-media project for bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran. Gunn wrote and directed Superman.
James Gunn and Peter Safran announced the film earlier this year at a huge event that showed off the DC film slate. It’s launching their DC multimedia universe and it’s the center project of the whole thing.
We’ll keep you updated on this as we get more news.
Superman releases in theaters on July 11th, 2025.
