You know the tagline… In space, no one can hear you scream. The sci-fi horror franchise Alien returns this summer with a new chapter, and it looks like there will be plenty of screams to go around. Check out the official trailer for Alien: Romulus below.

Though it will mark the ninth entry in the franchise, Alien: Romulus is being described as a return to roots. Co-writer and director Fede Alvarez revisits Ridley Scott’s world. The story follows a group of young space colonizers who, while scavenging on a derelict space station, come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

The film stars Cailee Spaeny, Archie Renaux, David Jonsson, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu.

The original Alien film premiered in 1979. It took home an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and spawned a decades-spanning sci-fi horror franchise.

Scott produces the feature, which Rodo Sayagues co-wrote. Alvarez’s previous work includes Don’t Breathe and 2013’s Evil Dead. The film comes from 20th Century Studios.
