For those suffering from Bluey withdrawal after the season-ending episode “Surprise” that aired at the end of April, fear not. You’ll soon get your fix as the first batch of this summer’s “minisodes” arrives in just under a month’s time! We previously told you about the global phenomenon’s return to television back in early May. Now we have even more detail, a release date, and even a speak peek!
The clip above comes to us from the first Bluey minisode titled “Burger Dog.” In it, the Heeler girls dance to an incredibly annoying song while Bandit “comes up with a plan to stop it.” In its ever-relatable fashion, the show proves just how well it knows parenting in just this 30-second preview. Bandit’s eye twitch is all of us parents who’ve suffered the same fate. “Burger Dog” kicks off the first of three slates of minisodes beginning this July.
Bluey Minisodes kick off July 3, 2024
Embracing its American fan base, Bluey will premier the first minisode frenzy Fourth of July weekend. Immediately following “Burger Dog” will be six more episodes in a “Red, White, and Bluey” marathon:
- “Bingo 3000;”
- “Muffin Unboxing;”
- “Letter;”
- Hungry;”
- “Three Pigs;” and
- “Animals.”
The next batch will arrive later in 2024, with the final bunch of Bluey Minisodes arriving in 2025.
According to Disney, Bluey was “the No. 1 most-watched series on streaming last quarter among total viewers in the U.S.” based on Nielson Media Research US’s data, which tracks “Persons 2+ time spent viewing for streaming series tracked by Nielsen through their streaming content ratings (1/2/24-3/31/24).” It’s no wonder – the show is one of the most-relatable series about children and parenting, perhaps ever.
You can view the bulk of the Bluey library over at Disney+. That’s where the first two minisodes will air July 3rd, along with being shown on Disney Jr. and the Disney Channel the same day.
