The horror flick officially arrives on digital for rent and purchase starting May 7. The feature is still in theaters, so the digital purchase option is currently the only way to watch the movie at home; it’s not headed to streaming just yet.
In Abigail, a heist team is hired by a mysterious fixer to kidnap the daughter of a powerful underworld figure. They must guard the 12-year-old ballerina for one night to net a $50 million ransom. As the captors start to dwindle one by one, they discover to their mounting terror that they’re locked inside an isolated mansion with no ordinary little girl.
The film comes from the directing duo Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillet), whose previous work includes Ready or Not and the two most recent Scream flicks.
The cast features Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Freaky), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood) as the kidnappers and Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Darklands) as Abigail.
