The upcoming new Pokémon Horizons series is the first Pokémon anime series to not feature Ash Ketchum as the main character. Instead, it features new girl Liko and new boy Roy, as well as their just as new cast of friends and enemies. Thus, The Pokémon Company and Netflix both want to go all out for the upcoming Terastal Debut arc. And what better way to do that than to show off the new opening theme songs? Don’t believe me? Then why not give the new trailer below a listen, and hear if that music gets your Pokémon nostalgia kicking?
Pokémon Horizons: Terastal Debut Arc ~ Details
The Pokemon Official YouTube Channel has just posted a new trailer for Pokémon Horizons on, well, YouTube. Not only does the trailer show off the Pokémon crystallization that occurs in this new Terastal Debut arc, but we also hear the opening theme song for that upcoming arc as well. That opening theme song is “Will” by IVE. Interestingly, IVE is a South Korean girl group with no prior experience in singing for not just any Pokémon media, but also any animated media period. Fortunately, this doesn’t stop them from producing one banger of an opening theme song.
Alas, this trailer doesn’t show off what the Pokémon Horizons ending theme music is. In fact, we only know what it will be thanks to Crunchyroll. That ending theme song turns out to be “Let me battle” by 9Lana. At the moment, we don’t know much about 9Lana. All we know is that she was a vocalist for “Raizakura”, which is the ending theme song for the second season of the recent 2022 reboot of Urusei Yatsura, and that’s it. We don’t even have a sample of the song she will sing for Pokémon to show off. We can only hope that The Pokémon Company gives us that info later.
Tune back in to THS to find out more Pokémon news when we do. In the meantime, you can watch the previous seasons of Pokémon Horizons only on Netflix.
