Kaiju No. 8 looks like it’s going to be one of the hottest new anime series inbound. It’s no wonder too. The Shonen Jump military science fantasy manga of the same name by Naoya Matsumoto has received widespread popularity and critical acclaim for its story, characters, and art. Especially for that premise of a nation in total war mode against giant monsters.

Thus, it makes sense why Crunchyroll would be so interested in Kaiju No. 8. So much so that they want to stream the anime live alongside the Japanese airing. Not only that, but they want this streaming to be a simuldub too. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out the English dub trailer below, and see for yourself if hearing the military banter and action in English is your thing?

Kaiju No. 8 Simulcast: Details

Can you play “Hear your favorite voice actor/actress” with this trailer?

Crunchyroll is proud to announce that they will be simulcasting Kaiju No. 8. That means everyone in Crunchyroll territories will get to watch the very first episode of this anime from Production I.G (PSYCHO-PASS; GHOST IN THE SHELL) and Studio Khara (Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition, Shin Godzilla (Pre Visualization Development)) at the same time. As for when? Well, said simulcast will take place on Saturday, April 13 at 7:00 am PDT.

Not only that, but as that YouTube trailer above shows, Crunchyroll also wants to stream the dub at the same time. Yes, that trailer is specifically for the English dub, but that’s not all. The full list of dubs Crunchyroll has incoming includes English, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Bonus: English Dub Cast

That’s still not all though! Crunchyroll also has a list of voice cast for the English dub so that fans can see who’s going to be voicing who in Kaiju No. 8. It’s not a complete list, but it’s good enough as a teaser for now. You can check it out (along with a list of ADR staff) below:
