The new Prime Video series The Baxters is based on the immensely popular book series by Karen Kingsbury. It is a captivating family drama that revolves around Elizabeth and John Baxter, as well as their five grown children.

So, Season One of The Baxters will focus on Kari, the daughter of Elizabeth and John, as she confronts a shocking revelation about her husband, Tim. It turns out that Tim has been engaging in a secret affair with one of his college students! So, as Kari’s relationship is put to the test, she embarks on a journey of faith and seeks solace in her family, questioning the true nature of love and whether her marriage can be restored. This heartfelt and faith-driven narrative explores the challenges of life and emphasizes the importance of familial unity for the Baxters.

So, I had a chance to sit down with Executive Producer and star of the series, Roma Downey along with writer Karen Kingsbury to discuss the upcoming season!

The Baxters series stars Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel) as the family matriarch, Elizabeth Baxter, and Ted McGinley (Shrinkingas John Baxter.
